This is extremely waterproof while offering good breathe-ability, so you don't feel like you are wearing a plastic garbage bag.

This jacket should be worn with layers underneath. You should use layers to provide the warmth and leave it to the shell to provide the waterproofing. This is a great jacket for those who venture off trail on a regular basis. Even if you never go off trail, this jacket is an excellent choice because it is also windproof. With the powder skirt and 1/4 internal sleeves, snow is not going to get into the places it shouldn't be ... even if you fall a lot.
Although this jacket can be used in any snow condition, it really excels in wet conditions, during snowstorms, rainstorms, windstorms, blizzards, tropical depressions, etc. Basically, if you live or visit anywhere with extreme weather, you need to buy this jacket. - Jon |
