Ideal Target Skier: Powder Hound: If you use your sick days only when it snows 12'' or more overnight and not when you're actually sick, this ski is probably for you. Powder Hounds are on the search for deep and untouched powder, and fat skis to ski it with. Skier Ability: Advanced to Expert: Skipping the blue runs to get to the black runs, but sometimes a little cautious when it gets very steep, or some hesitation when your buddy says, ''You just have to clear those rocks or else you're toast.'' Speed: Very Fast: Skiing at this speed means keeping up with the best skiers on the mountain, while still maintaining control. Note: The image show will be corrected shortly to show the actual graphics of the 2008 model, a guy doing a backscratcher. The big gun, the P4 is fat, twinned up and a powerhouse boasting two sheets of titanal. In short, the P4 is primed to float you through the backcountry, destroy crud and groomers and let you huck yourself switch. User Profile Big Mountain Jibber Construction SSCT - Sandwich Sidewall Cap Titanal Features Pro Tip, Race Finish, Dual Radius, Pre Track, ETP For all of the features and technology that go into this ski, the price is an absolute steal. Comparable powder skis are priced between $750 and $1000! It is a full twin tip designed to float in the powder and get you around the rest of the mountain without any problems. The P4 features a unique tip and tail that helps the ski float in the soft stuff, but it will ski like a shorter ski on harder conditions. The tail has a softer flex than the rest of the ski to help the tips lift out of the snow and get some extra buoyancy. The construction of this ski is top notch. It has a sidewall/cap construction that gives the skis the durability of a cap with the performance of a sidewall. Two layers of Titanal add to the strength of the ski without adding much weight. The ski is surprisingly quick and easy to maneuver despite its girth. The 171cm or 181cm length is a great choice if you plan on doing some jibbing and backcountry hits, or if this is your only ski this season out west. If you are seeking a big powder ski for your quiver, the 191cm is your best bet. Either way, you get the same quality ski and sweet watercolor sunset graphics. When you add a binding below, we can mount them for you and will install the appropriate fat brake arms at no extra charge. |
