Ideal Target Skier: Weekend Warrior/Charger: These skiers were once upon a time ski bums, or very proficient skiers in college, then landed an internship that led to a 70 hour work week and a spouse and 2.5 kids. They are still great skiers, and ski hard every chance they get on steeps, moguls, powder... whatever they can get their hands on. Skier Ability: Intermediate to Advanced: Sometimes these skiers are intermediate, and on a good day, they are advanced, but hard to commit to one level. They can ski most places on the mountain, sometimes with a little difficulty, but always making it down without crying and calling ski patrol. Adaptive rocker is a slight rise in the tip of the ski when the ski is weighted, for easy turning, no edge catching and better lift in soft snow.
Composite Core: This ski features a composite core, which has a softer flex and is lighter weight than wood cores. Junior, entry level, and sometimes even women's models have this type of core to make skiing more enjoyable, and less work. Double Titanal Layering: This ski features two layers of Titanal metal alloy, one just above the base, one just below the topsheet. This gives the ski extra stiffness and strength while creating a dampening, or shock absorbing, effect to the ski. This is usually found in the highest grade of racing and competition level freeride skis. Step Down Sidewall Construction: This ski features Cap construction at the tip and tail for added durability and to reduce topsheet chipping, and has Sandwich construction underfoot for greater edge hold and power through the turns. Its the best of both worlds, a stiff rigid ski where it needs to be, and a soft and turnable ski where it doesn't.
UHM Base: A maintenance free durable base. You may want to wax it up for springtime slush, other than that you can concentrate on other things. Atomic Rocker Profiles: Want to know more about this ski's Rocker Profile? Well, you can! Click here to check out our Learn Center Page on this topic! |
