Alpina 2012 BC 1550 Cross Country Ski Boots

Sale: $79.00
Retail: $169.00

Save 53%
Alpina's 2012 BC 1550 XC boots fit into NNN BC style bindings, that is first and foremost. The BC 1550 boots are comfortable enough to ski in all day, featuring Thinsulate insulation to keep you warm and an Alpitex outer membrane (an Alpina proprietary fabric) to keep your feet dry. These boots have a rugged toe and heel, so when you're stomping around before and after (or during?) skiing, you don't have to watch your step with every stride, these boots can handle some real hiking.

These boots will only work with NNN BC style bindings. Brand is irrelevant but the plate of your bindings must be for an NNN BC sole boot.

External 3D Reinforcement is basically a fancy way to say that these boots have firm heel backing made of plastic. This reinforced heel gives the boots added durability of course, but also (and probably more importantly) will be more responsive when you're kicking, skating or downhilling than less reinforced boots.

While not quite steel toed boots, these boots do have thick, sturdy plastic toe, which is an extension of the stiff plastic sole.

Thinsulate Insulation: Thinsulate is very popular insulation, used in gloves, boots, jackets, hats and a dozen other items worldwide because it is extremely lightweight and moisture resistant, and extremely warm.

Lacing System: Every eyelet that you thread these laces through is hard plastic, and the top two eyelets are made of metal, so you can cinch these boots on tight and the laces aren't going anywhere.

Alpitex Outer Membrane: An Alpina in-house fabric, Alpitex is a waterproof/breathable outer membrane that will keep the boots warm and dry all day.
