Free L9 Poles: A little love from L9 to you in the form of a free composite Levelninesports.com ski pole. A comparable pole retails for $60 and we sell these for $24 normally. This free pole is for a few select skis as a little sweetener on the already lowest price.
Skier Ability: Intermediate to Advanced: Sometimes these skiers are intermediate, and on a good day, they are advanced, but hard to commit to one level. They can ski most places on the mountain, sometimes with a little difficulty, but always making it down without crying and calling ski patrol. Speed: Fast: At this speed, these skiers are passing most of the others on blue square runs, and keeping up with most skiers on black diamond runs. Atomic/Salomon LiteTrack XTO 10 bindings included:
DIN Range: 3-10
Skier Weight Range: 79-250 lbs Glittery Textured Topsheet: This ski has an interesting, fashionable topsheet. The background of the topsheet is a matte black finish, with an argyle style pattern of glittery metallic circles. Maybe that sounds odd, and maybe the picture doesn't really show it, but it looks really expensive. Composite Core: This ski features a composite core, which has a softer flex and is lighter weight than wood cores. Junior, entry level, and sometimes even women's models have this type of core to make skiing more enjoyable, and less work. Cap Construction: The topsheet of this ski drapes over the edge to form a clean and rounded finish to the side of the ski. This style of construction adds some torsional rigidity, and helps reduce topsheet chipping when the skis hit each other.
Integrated Binding System: Once mounted, the binding sits on rails or a plate that is affixed to the ski. The main difference, however, is that the binding can move slightly on the rail during the flexing motion of the ski underneath. This setup means the binding does not inhibit the flex of the ski as it is sort of floating on these rails. What this means for the skier: A more even flex and smoother turn, with less skidding or 'chatter' from the ski. This is most noticeable on groomed terrain. |
