Atomic 2012 FFG 10 Ski Bindings

The FFG 10 bindings from Atomic are the lightest and most intermediate in the FFG family of freeride bindings. With a DIN range of 3-10, these are most appropriate for beginner-intermediate adult skiers, or advanced juniors. These come with 90mm brakes, and have a freestyle, low-profile style which makes them a great choice for wider junior skis or mid-fat adult skis. The black/silver color scheme is a guaranteed color match with any skis (black and chrome go with everything), and this binding is perfectly suitable for a male or female skier.

Features:

Din range: 3-10

Skier weight range: >79lbs

Stand Height: 17mm (low profile)

Brake Width: 90mm

Automatic Wing Adjustment: The toe of this binding automatically adjusts to the slightly different width among ski boots. This means it is one less adjustment to fuss with. Just step into the binding and go skiing.

Elastic Pedal: The AFD under the ball of the foot allows for proper function even when ice, dirt, or snow get stuck to the bottom of the boot.

Composite Materials: The parts of the binding that need to be metal are made of steel, but the majority of the binding is a superdense, superlight plastic composite material. This gives the binding the ruggedness of a more metallic binding, without all the added weight.

Stomp Pedal Shock Absorber: Essentially what these means is that the plastic directly beneath the toe of your boot is a little flexier than the other parts of the binding, which helps absorb some shock (like in bumps or landing jumps).

These are great bindings marketed to the freeride crowd. The low stand height and wide brake arms included are great features for the Park and Powder skiers who want better balance and have wider skis.
