The Intruder is not in Atomic's advertised retail line in either the US or Europe, but it is exactly the same ski as another of their popular models but with what we think are much cooler graphics. If you need to know which ski that is just shoot us an email, call or chat. Skier Ability: Intermediate to Advanced: Sometimes these skiers are intermediate, and on a good day, they are advanced, but hard to commit to one level. They can ski most places on the mountain, sometimes with a little difficulty, but always making it down without crying and calling ski patrol. Adaptive rocker is a slight rise in the tip of the ski when the ski is weighted, for easy turning, no edge catching and better lift in soft snow.
Intermediate Ski Comparisons: <--Click for help in deciding between this and some of our other intermediate skis. Speed: Fast: At this speed, these skiers are passing most of the others on blue square runs, and keeping up with most skiers on black diamond runs. Step Down Sidewall Construction: This ski features Cap construction at the tip and tail for added durability and to reduce topsheet chipping, and has Sandwich construction underfoot for greater edge hold and power through the turns. Its the best of both worlds, a stiff rigid ski where it needs to be, and a soft and turnable ski where it doesn't.
Multi-cell core: This synthetic core reduces the weight of the ski, to reduce fatigue for all day skiers. The ski is able to turn easier and quicker, and only loses a minimal amount of torsional rigidity. Extra Durable ABS Sidewalls: This sidewall material transfers energy to the edge extremely well, which results with better edge grip and control. It also helps the ski have a lively feel.
