Atomic 2012 Race Childrens Skis w/ Evox 45 Bindings

Atomic's 2012 Race Children's skis are a durable and fast model of kids' skis. The word "Race" in the title should be taken with a grain of salt, though, even if these skis are slightly more advanced than most other kids' skis, they are definitely lightweight and maneuverable enough for most any child. These Atomics have strong steel edges and an extra durable textured topsheet. We would recommend these for any kids but especially the little daredevil types, you know, the kids who just fearlessly go down the hill, even if their technical skiing skills haven't quite been developed yet.

Skier Ability: Beginner to Advanced Juniors: Versatile for basically all levels of junior skiers, from first timers on bunny slopes to seasoned advanced level skiers hanging out with mom and dad in the back bowls.

These are NOT true race skis, its just part of the name. They are slightly more advanced, but very similar to most of the other junior skis we sell.

Synthetic Core: A lightweight flexible ski core designed to help skiers master turning and stay out of harms way by making the ski nimble. Synthetic cores are great for those learning to master the art of skiing because they turn easily, but top speed skiers may prefer stiffer skis.

Cap ConstructionCap Construction: The topsheet of this ski drapes over the edge to form a clean and rounded finish to the side of the ski. This style of construction adds some torsional rigidity, and helps reduce topsheet chipping when the skis hit each other.

Textured Surface: Ideal for repelling wear and tear on the skis surface. Textured ski surfaces are rough surfaces to the ski that hide or repel scratches keep your skis look new long after they are not. Originally designed for rental skis for obvious reasons, this surface is now available on a wide variety of retail skis as well since everyone likes their skis to look nice.

Active camber is a traditional base, essentially the absence of tip rocker. Active camber skis have superior edge hold on hard surfaces and at high speeds, but are more difficult to ski off-piste.
