Atomic Hard Flex Boot: This snowboard boot has a stiff forward flex, which means it was meant for riding hard and fast. Unlike ski boots, even beginners can hop into a stiff snowboard boot and be comfortable, but the ideal rider here is one that wants a tight fit for advanced riding. Power Lace Pro Soft Lacing: A quick cinch-lacing system (quicker than BOA to tighten up) with locking lace hooks allows the rider to lace the boot with different tightness in different regions of the boot. If you get ankle pain (for example), loosen the lace around the ankle lace-lock while still having super-tight laces elsewhere on the boot.
Dual Zone Pro Fit Liner: A completely customizable liner ensures that the rider in this boot will get a personal, snug fit. The 3D tongue has denser EVA for increased support on toe-side turns, high-density EVA in the spine gives increased support on heelside turns. Add in dual zone lacing (so you can get a different fit for your instep and shin--great for people with high arches or flat feet), thermal technology (molds to your body heat as you ride), and you have basically a pro-level fit.
4 Component Outsole: An outsole with made of 4 parts gives Atomic the freedom to put extra material in zones where the rider needs high flex and durability, and less material where the rider would prefer less weight and a more casual flex. The overall footprint of this boot is one of the smallest on the market since excess material in toe and heel has been removed.
Pull to Close Liner: This liner has a pull-tab loop that can be used as a quick cinch of the inner liner over your instep. The purpose for this is to be used right before a hairy run, or more likely, after you come back from your lunch break and you have your laces loosened up, just yank on the Pull-to-Close loop for a casual fit that still holds your heel and ankle in place. |
