Atomic Blackeye Skis w/XTO 12 Bindings

The Nomad Blackeye from Atomic is one of the best east coast/all-mountain skis we have seen. These don't have titanium like the Blackeye Ti, but that makes them a little less aggressive for a wider ability range. These boys just look good too and have the ability to help a timid intermediate make the jump to a more aggressive advanced skier very quickly. The all-mountain rocker and 82mm waist will definitely aid in that process, especially in the crud at the end of the day when all of your non-rockered friends are complaining that their legs hurt.
    Appropriate ability levels.

These skis come complete with XTO 12 bindings to match both the color and performance of the ski. They are incredibly easy to adjust, in case you want to switch with your buddies in the afternoon.

Din range: 4-12
Skier Weight Range: 100-400lbs.
Boot Sole Length Mounting Range: 260mm to 370mm (almost any adult boot size)

Skier Ability: Intermediate to Advanced: Sometimes these skiers are intermediate, and on a good day, they are advanced, but hard to commit to one level. They can ski most places on the mountain, sometimes with a little difficulty, but always making it down without crying and calling ski patrol.

Ideal Target Skier: East Coast Hardpack Lover: This is an excellent ski for East Coast skiers that ski aggressively on the hardpack while still getting off trail a bit. West Coast skiers: this is a carving ski that should only be brought out when the powder is gone and its time to rip the groomers.

Speed: Fast: At this speed, these skiers are passing most of the others on blue square runs, and keeping up with most skiers on black diamond runs.

Wood Core: The standard core which has throughout time provided the best performance and durability. Each model may have it's own density level to help define flex and maximum speed but every wood core ski will be solid.

Step Down Sidewall Construction: This ski features Cap construction at the tip and tail for added durability and to reduce topsheet chipping, and has Sandwich construction underfoot for greater edge hold and power through the turns. Its the best of both worlds, a stiff rigid ski where it needs to be, and a soft and turnable ski where it doesn't.

Textured Surface: Ideal for repelling wear and tear on the skis surface. Textured ski surfaces are rough surfaces to the ski that hide or repel scratches keep your skis looking new long after they are not. Originally designed for rental skis for obvious reasons, this surface is now available on a wide variety of retail skis as well since everyone likes their skis to look nice.

Tip Rocker: This refers to the early rising of the tip to get the ski on top of the soft snow, rather than pushing through it. When the skis are held with the bases together, it will look like the tips are bent, and spread away from eachother. Tip rocker also helps skiers pivot the skis, making tight trees remarkably easy, and gives the ski a surf-like feel.

Extra Durable ABS Sidewalls: This sidewall material transfers energy to the edge extremely well, which results with better edge grip and control. It also helps the ski have a lively feel.

85% camber underfoot, 15% early rise rocker in the tip. 100% Versatility for all skiing conditions from powder to ice moguls.
