Target Skier: Upper intermediate to advanced skiers who need a plush, comfort boot, but like showing off on the black runs and skiing aggressively in front of the boys. Features: Color: Mix of dark and lighter grey with silver buckles that have white inserts. Flex rating: 90 Atomic B-Tech boots: A wide forefoot of 104mm makes this boot one of the best choices for recreational skiers with comfort on the mind. This model is wider than average, so narrow feet will need some extra work to get them to fit properly. In fact, the buckle closest to the toes is really meant for wider feet, and don't expect to be able to crank it down if you have narrow feet. One thing that is unique about the B series is that the half size shares the shell length of the next larger boot. For example, the 26.5 mondo size has the shell of a 27.0 boot, so it will be about 1cm longer than a typical 26.5 boot. Keep that in mind while figuring out the sizing before your order. Bi component shell: Two different densities of plastic used to keep the boot stiff and able to perform at high speeds, yet softer in specific areas to make them easier to put on and take off. Transparent PU shell: High quality plastic is used for this shell, and is translucent to give the boot a unique look by being able to make out the liner on the inside. 104mm last: Comfort is key for skiers matching up to this last width. It is roomy and comfortable, making it the preferred choice for recreational skiers that demand comfort above all else. This is the boot type that most recreational skiers prefer. Micro Mg Edge buckles: Racing style buckles made of Magnesium to give extra strength, but have a little bit of give to them to not interfere with the flex of the boot. Flex Adjust: Make the boot a little softer or harder depending on your skiing style or snow conditions with the quick adjuster at the back of the boot. No tools are necessary, just push the button in and slide to the hard or soft setting. Pre-wired heat system: This boot is pre-wired for Therm-ic brand boot heaters. All you need is the battery pack to plug in and clip to the back of the boot. Switch it on and your feet will be warm seconds later. Single Micro Excenter canting: Single canting on the outside of the ankle that will help correct an uneven ski platform. The adjuster stays right in the center, and pivots the boot without changing the fit or flex of the boot. Custom Comfort women's T2 liner: This liner is used in recreation to higher performance boots for women, but is still comfortable. The foam is a medium density that molds to contours of the leg and feet quickly. Macro adjust ladder (SuperMacro): The tooth plate opposite the top buckles can be moved in or out for a huge range of adjustment, and to fit narrow to wide lower legs. Recco reflector: The Recco reflector system is a location device built into the back of the boot. This allows ski patrol a much greater chance of finding you if you get stuck in the well of a tree or buried in an avalanche. Its not as good as wearing an avalanche beacon, but its the next best thing. 35mm strap: Wider than average strap at the top of the boot to help keep the boot together and to give good performance while skiing. |
