Target Skier: Advanced skiers.. also experts who want some comfort or strong intermediates who ski way too fast. This boot is a good match for those that don't have noticeably wide feet (or those that do, and like a narrower fit). Performance-wise, the boot hold up great to higher speeds and more challenging terrain, but can slow it down and cruise casually in comfort. Features: Color: Glossy white bottom half of boot and glossy and transparent red at the top half of the boot. Top buckles are white and bottom 2 are anodized red. Flex rating: 100 Transparent PU shell: High quality plastic is used for this shell, and is translucent to give the boot a unique look by being able to make out the liner on the inside. AFS shell: A dial under the heel of the boot that can be turned to take up extra volume of the boot, giving a more snug fit for lower volume feet or for higher performance skiing. 102mm last: Slightly wider than average to give a great fit for most skiers. This last was designed to fit pretty much everyone, but really wide feet, or the opposite, should look for different lasts more appropriate for their foot types. Micro Al Aero soft buckles: High strength to weight ratio aluminum buckles with a rubberized insert to make them easier to control with gloves or wet hands. Custom Pro T3 liner: A top end liner with dense foam throughout to give the skier a solid connection to the boot. Conformable material in the tongue quickly molds to the anatomy of the skier for a custom style fit. The rear of the liner has a faux leather patch to aid in entry and exit of the boot. Therm-ic prepared: The boot has been prepared to receive the footbed, wiring, and battery pack for Therm-ic brand boot heaters. The liner has a port at the rear and elastic guides for the wiring, and the shell has a plastic tab for hanging the battery pack. Although it is prepared for the heat system, it doesn't actually have any of its components. Twin Micro Excenter canting: Maximum canting adjustment is achieved with the Twin canting system. Both the inside and outside of the ankle can be adjusted to correct for an uneven skiing platform caused by crooked legs. Conformable Performance footbed: Footbed with arch and heel support, as well as cushioning throughout. It will give you the extra attention your feet need to help you last longer on the hill. This footbed is as good, if not better than the Superfeet, so no need to add them as an option. Macro adjust ladder (SuperMacro): The tooth plate opposite the top buckles can be moved in or out for a huge range of adjustment, and to fit narrow to wide lower legs. Recco reflector: The Recco reflector system is a location device built into the back of the boot. This allows ski patrol a much greater chance of finding you if you get stuck in the well of a tree or buried in an avalanche. Its not as good as wearing an avalanche beacon, but its the next best thing. 40mm strap: Super wide strap found on high performance boots. The extra width spreads out the force while skiing and reduces the pressure point on the upper shin. Atomic M-Tech boots: The 102mm last on this boot will allow a comfortable fit for most all mountain skiers. This level of boot is considered a recreation boot based on the comfort level, but the adjustments and features border on the performance level. Good skiers that want a comfortable fit without loosing performance will be quite pleased with the M series of boots. |
