Leg vents: When it gets pretty hot out, its not the best idea to just drop your pants. So these have zippered slits to get airflow going through the legs to cool things down. Adjustable waist: An elastic and velcro strip that gives the user the chance to customize the fit in the waist. Taped seams: For maximum waterproofing, the seams on this piece of outerwear are taped internally. This feature also strengthens the seam and improves the durability. 5000mm Waterproof rating: This rating means this fabric is waterproof for pretty much any ski day that you'd be on the mountain. The only time the fabric might let a little water in is during the really wet snow storms. But generally, this is the level that gets you into good quality outerwear. 4000g Breathability: Its tough to get a fabric that is both waterproof and breathable, but this is getting it done. 4000g of water is sufficient for pretty much any rider. For those that sweat a lot, maybe search for a higher rated fabric, but most people are happy with this level. Thermacore 60g: Just enough insulation to take the bite out of cold days. |
