  1. Do you ship to Canada?

    Yes! We ship to Canada and have it perfected. Everything (taxes, duties, etc) is paid direct on our website, so you don't get some delivery guy at your door asking for money.

  2. How long does Canadian shipping take?

    3 business days or less. Some remote areas of Canada require extra delivery time.

  3. How much is Canadian shipping?

    We ship DHL Express service to Canada for $19.00 per order, HST fees and duties on a per item basis will also be charged. Canadian customer should be able to view this information in the Canadian Customers tab of any product page, and you always will see your ''to the door price'' before any payment needs to be made.

  4. What about duties and taxes?

    They are prepaid when you checkout from the website, and there will not be any additional fees to get your order quickly and to your door. The best part about it is that the delivery driver won't surprise you with a bill when he hands you the package.
    Currently the rates are as follows:
    Alberta and those remote provinces no one lives in are billed only duties + 5% GST, all other provinces are billed duties + 12% HST.

    Long Answer-->

    They are prepaid when you checkout, there will be no fees to get your order quickly to your door after checking out. Duties and HST Taxes are prepaid so that you will have no extra fees to receive your items. Such fees for every item are listed on every product page and will be displayed fully at checkout confirmation. We have negotiated the lowest rates and you will be surprised at the low total cost for the item to get to your door.

    At Levelninesports.com you pay ZERO brokerage fees. However, Canadian regulations that started July 2010 now have the following rates: Alberta and those remote provinces no one lives in are billed only duties + 5 percent GST, all other provinces are billed duties + 12 percent HST.

    Ordering from any other US dealer will result in drastically higher import fees AFTER you pay for your item. We have worked our butts off to negotiate the lowest importation rates and fees.
    Items have different duty rates based upon many factors, check an individual product page to see what TOTAL fees are for that item.

    Note: Duties and Taxes are not refundable on returns, so please take caution that you are getting the correct gear.

  5. L9 Shipping methods to Canada?

    We ship DHL Express.
    *All orders shipped to: Yukon, Northwest Territories & Nunavut ship DHL Express for $79.00.

  6. Canadian payment methods?

    All Credit Cards are accepted from Canadian customers. Our credit card processor is authorized to accept Canadian Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and Amex payments. Sometimes there is an extra verification step to ensure your credit card safety, but it shouldn't delay your delivery time line. We also accept PayPal payments from Canada.

  7. How long will customs delay my package?

    As long as they want. Just kidding, there shouldn't be any delay actually. We are on good terms with Canadian Customs because our paperwork is flawless! DHL handles customs duties in a timely manner through a Canadian subsidiary, and typically items clear customs in less than a day. You can always track the progress at DHL.com to see where your package is in the process.

  8. My tracking status says EXCEPTION. What does this mean?

    Not to worry, we use a 3rd party to clear customs and sometimes funny stuff shows up when a package is tracked. It usually takes a day or so to get the tracking info updated.

    Long Answer-->

    Though we ship DHL we clear customs with a 3rd party. This causes DHL to put all sort of funny names on the status as it goes through customs and the get information.
    This process rarely takes more than a day though the timing listed of the status and the location listed--No, your package did not go to FREDERICTON NB--make it all seem much more chaotic than it really is. Please note too, that some of the scans and times from DHL are made up and sometimes they miss scans entirely.
    All those words may not be terribly reassuring but there are very rarely delays that last more than 2 business days. It is possible that Canadian Customs may experience some slight further delays during peak times.

  9. Besides payment, what else can delay my order?

    Incomplete or invalid shipping information, non DHL-able address, not providing a phone number, or incorrect billing address on file with your credit card company. Also, if you ordered skis and bindings, sometimes we need boot size or other information prior to shipping.

    Long Answer-->

    Incomplete or invalid shipping information: If you provide a non DHL-friendly address for an order scheduled to ship via DHL, your order may face a lengthy delay. If you do not provide a phone number and the delivery driver has troubles with your address, you may also face a delay. If your order is going to Canada, you may face customs delays, although that should be rare. If your billing address is incorrect or your ship to address is not on file with your credit card company you may also face delays while we determine whether the charge is valid or not.
    We take fraudulent orders very seriously, so sometimes a brief delay is required for some orders to verify some information. These delays rarely affect the shipping timeline, but we will contact you if there is that possibility.
