Target Skier: Advanced to Expert: These boots are stiff enough and performance oriented enough, that we would recommend them to advanced skiers who will be aggressively skiing the whole mountain. Beginners should look elsewhere! 97mm Last: This width is pretty narrow, and is reserved for skiers with narrow feet or skiers with wider feet and a high level of pain threshold. The narrower than average width aids in quicker response between the skier and skis.
120/130 Flex: 120-130 Flex: This boot has an adjustable flex, ranging from about 120-130, meaning this boot will be responsive for an aggressive skier. SuperHeat 3 liner: High performance liner that molds to your foot, activated by body heat. The SuperHeat 3 has the adaptive lining in the ankle, heel, tongue, and insole and will speed up the break in process of your boots. 35mm strap: Wider than average strap at the top of the boot to help keep the boot together and to give good performance while skiing. Micro-adjustable aluminum buckles: These aluminum buckles can be moved to adjust for size, so if the default position of the buckle and the teeth is too wide or too narrow, you can move it until it fits. Adjustable flex: The flex setting of this boot can be toggled between two settings: the higher is stiffer and better performance, while the lower setting is softer and more comfortable. Adjustable rear spoiler: With a quick adjustment, the height at the top rear of the boot can be raised or lowered. If you are taller than average for your boot size, or if you just want the extra support at the back of the leg, you can adjust the spoiler up about 1cm from standard. This will also pitch you forward slightly into a more aggressive stance. Double Canting: Two adjustment bolts, one each side of the ankle, allow for maximum adjustment for leg/knee alignment problems. The canting helps the skis stay flat on the ground while you are still bow-legged or knock-kneed. |
