A common sight on the tops of big mountains everywhere, Dynastar's Legend series have been widely used and widely successful in the big mountain freeski world. These Pro Rider 105s are a credit to the legacy. Two layers of titanal, beefy sidewalls, and a solid wood core mean this ski will charge through anything anywhere, from ice to powder and everything in between. Recommend for expert and pro skiers only...because they're pretty heavy.

Ideal Target Skier: Big Mountain Charger: Top speed, all the time, regardless of terrain, obstacles or children in the way, these skiers need stability on par with professional downhill racers. They are usually looking for long skis that are wide and heavy.

Speed: Very Fast: Skiing at this speed means keeping up with the best skiers on the mountain, while still maintaining control.

Early Rise: Somewhere between rocker and traditional sits the Early Rise. This helps the tip of the ski get up in softer snow, and still maintains good edge grip and firm snow performance.

Sandwich ConstructionSandwich Construction (SW): SW means that the sides of the skis are a vertical wall rather the rounded Cap construction found on most skis. Since none of the skis material needs to be exerting force maintaining shape at the edges, SW skis are stiffer than their Cap counterparts. Most people find SW skis to be damper, that is more glued to the snow, superior at high speed GS turns and top notch at busting through crud or choppy snow.

Wood Core: The standard core which has throughout time provided the best performance and durability. Each model may have it's own density level to help define flex and maximum speed but every wood core ski will be solid.

UHM Base: A maintenance free durable base. You may want to wax it up for springtime slush, other than that you can concentrate on other things.

Titanal sheets: A unique blend of titanium and aluminum that gives extra strength and stiffness to the skis without adding too much weight. Skis with Titanal sheets are typically reserved for advanced to experts, because they require more speed or strength to flex them properly.

3-D core: Excess material is removed from the tip and tail of the ski to reduce weight, and more material is left over the edges to give more edging power to the ski.

Dynastar Legend Series: This series of skis is geared toward the all mountain skier that finds adventure anywhere on the mountain. Performance is key for these skiers, whether they are juniors tearing up the blue runs, or experts launching off cliffs. Don't worry, if you are somewhere in between, the Legend skis will help you hone your skills and enjoy a full day of skiing.

ABS Sidewall: ABS provides better edge hold than other materials and construction types. It will also withstand impacts with rocks and terrain features (rails, boxes, your friend) more effectively when compared to cap style construction.
