Please make sure you look at the picture of the size you are purchasing, as the different sizes have slightly different color schemes, and the 170cm size has slightly different text on the graphic. Nothing major, and they are all almost identical, but we thought we'd mention it. Ideal Target Skier: Casual Cruiser: Sticking mainly to the groomed runs and always keeping speed in check, a Casual Cruiser doesn't even bother with the off trail snow, moguls, jumps, etc. Skier Ability: Beginner to Intermediate: Versatile enough to handle first time skiers all the way up to seasoned intermediates.
Wood Core: The standard core which has throughout time provided the best performance and durability. Each model may have it's own density level to help define flex and maximum speed but every wood core ski will be solid.
Cap Construction: The topsheet of this ski drapes over the edge to form a clean and rounded finish to the side of the ski. This style of construction adds some torsional rigidity, and helps reduce topsheet chipping when the skis hit each other.
Tip and Tail Protectors: Plastic protectors on the tip and tail increase the durability of the gear tenfold. Your tips and tails are the most likely edges to get cracked, keep 'em safe with tip protectors and your skis will last for a long long time. Textured Surface: Ideal for repelling wear and tear on the skis surface. Textured ski surfaces are rough surfaces to the ski that hide or repel scratches keep your skis look new long after they are not. Originally designed for rental skis for obvious reasons, this surface is now available on a wide variety of retail skis as well since everyone likes their skis to look nice.
Early Rise: Somewhere between rocker and traditional sits the Early Rise. This helps the tip of the ski get up in softer snow, and still maintains good edge grip and firm snow performance. |
