Elan 2012 Junior Race Pro Skis

The Elan Junior Race Pro skis are a Pro in name only. These skis have a synthetic Synflex (an Elan technology) core which is synthetic (hence the Syn), which keeps it lightweight, but is stiffer and hence more stable and smoother at moderate speeds than traditional foam/synthetic core skis. But even if these are a bit stiffer than your average junior skis, these are still definitely in the beginner to intermediate stratosphere. So if your junior is a Pro Racer, probably avoid these Elan Race Pro skis, but if your junior is anything else (beginner to advanced, honestly), these will do the job perfectly.

Ideal Target Skier: Developing Young Skier: Anywhere from first timers to advanced youth skiers, that still have a lot to learn about skiing. They might ski fast sometimes, and have a blast, but aren't comfortable with some areas of the mountain.

Cap ConstructionCap Construction: The topsheet of this ski drapes over the edge to form a clean and rounded finish to the side of the ski. This style of construction adds some torsional rigidity, and helps reduce topsheet chipping when the skis hit each other.

Synflex Core: Elan's Synflex Core is an enhanced synthetic core that retains the lightweight properties of most traditional synthetic core skis, while being stiffer and more damp to vibrations than other synthetic/foam core skis.

Active Camber: In a world of early rise, rocker, and reverse camber, there still is a need for traditional full camber skis. The edge grip and stability is unmatched on groomed snow. This ski gets maximum edge to the snow, so it helps skiers skiing the firm stuff, or just prefer the 'feel' of traditional camber skis.

Glossy Topsheet: The finish of this ski is glossy to help keep snow from sticking to it and to look pretty fancy.

Looking for this ski in a longer length? Good thing we've got several shorter sizes, all the way down to a 70cm! They're listed as the Elan 2012 Children's Race Pro.
