103.5mm Last Width: Well above the average width, this shell is the choice for wide footed skiers, or even skiers with narrower feet that want some extra room for added comfort. 30mm Power Strap: A velcro strap, 30mm in height, acts as an extra buckle to keep the top of the boot together. The 30mm straps are good for recreational skiers or junior racers. Ski-Walk Flip Lever: The back of the boot sports a lever to be pushed up or down to transfer from walk and ski modes, respectively. The walk mode allows the cuff to slide forward and back, where the ski mode locks the boot in a forward, skiing stance. Seamless Slider: Smooth material on the inside back of the liner to help the foot slide in and out of the boot with less effort. Shock Absorber Heel: An insert in the heel absorbs shock from harsh, jolting terrain, and helps cushion big air landings. Sensitive Toebox: Neoprene in the toe of the liner adds extra insulation, and is flexible for skiers that need a precise fit with their boots. Full Thermo Fit Liner: Body heat activates the material in this liner to shape to the skier's foot faster than a standard liner. The insulation also has heat reflective properties to keep the warm in, and the cold out. Micro-adjustable alloy buckles: These alloy buckles can be twisted to adjust for size, so if the default position of the buckle and the teeth is too wide or too narrow, you can twist the buckle like a screw until it fits just right. Boot Heater Prepared: The liner is prepared to accept most boot heating systems. Just thread the heat cable through the liner and attach the battery pack. Hotronic not included, of course. Single Canting: One adjustment bolt on the outside of the ankle helps compensate for bow-legs or knock-knees. This tilts the cuff of the boot left or right while keeping the base of the skis flat on the snow. SOMA-Tec: The positioning of the feet in a SOMA boot is in a natural 'V' shape, with the toes pointed slightly outward, and the heels slightly inward. This positioning puts the skier's center of gravity over the middle of the ski for better control and edging power. This design also creates less stress on the knee and ankle joints. |
