98.5mm Last Width: The width of this boot is great for narrow feet (width C) or those wanting a performance fit and also a good width for most junior skiers. 30mm Power Strap: A velcro strap, 30mm in height, acts as an extra buckle to keep the top of the boot together. The 30mm straps are good for recreational skiers or junior racers. Single Bolt Flex Adjust: Remove the screw/bolt at the back of the cuff to soften the boot for a more comfortable and casual skiing style. Micro-adjustable alloy buckles: These alloy buckles can be twisted to adjust for size, so if the default position of the buckle and the teeth is too wide or too narrow, you can twist the buckle like a screw until it fits just right. Adjustable rear spoiler: With a quick adjustment, the height at the top rear of the boot can be raised or lowered. If you are taller than average for your boot size, or if you just want the extra support at the back of the leg, you can adjust the spoiler up about 1cm from standard. This will also pitch you forward slightly into a more aggressive stance. Single Canting: One adjustment bolt on the outside of the ankle helps compensate for bow-legs or knock-knees. This tilts the cuff of the boot left or right while keeping the base of the skis flat on the snow. SOMA-Tec: The positioning of the feet in a SOMA boot is in a natural 'V' shape, with the toes pointed slightly outward, and the heels slightly inward. This positioning puts the skier's center of gravity over the middle of the ski for better control and edging power. This design also creates less stress on the knee and ankle joints. Fischer Fit System: Knowing that no two skiers are the same, Fischer mixes the feature list to match the performance and comfort level that different levels of skiers need. This ensures that recreational skiers don't end up with boots that have a race fit, and ensures that racers don't end up with a squishy comfort liner. |
