Big mountain skiers love this ski because of its stability at higher speeds, yet relative ease to turn and control in tight spots. The width provides float in softer snow and crud, and is a wise choice as an addition to a quiver as a powder ski.

Ideal Target Skier: Powder Hound: If you use your sick days only when it snows 12'' or more overnight and not when you're actually sick, this ski is probably for you. Powder Hounds are on the search for deep and untouched powder, and fat skis to ski it with.

Skier Ability: Upper Intermediate to Advanced: Skiing most black diamond runs, but cautiously or at moderate speeds.

Speed: Fast: At this speed, these skiers are passing most of the others on blue square runs, and keeping up with most skiers on black diamond runs.

Color: Brown with tribal graphics

Sandwich Construction (SW): SW means that the sides of the skis are a vertical wall rather the rounded Cap construction found on most skis. Since none of the skis material needs to be exerting force maintaining shape at the edges, SW skis are stiffer than their Cap counterparts. Most people find SW skis to be damper, that is more glued to the snow, superior at high speed GS turns and top notch at busting through crud or choppy snow.

Wood Core: The standard core which has throughout time provided the best performance and durability. Each model may have it's own density level to help define flex and maximum speed but every wood core ski will be solid.

Skin Notch: There is a notch in the tail of the ski that helps the clip of climbing skins stay in place. It doesn't change the skiing characteristics of the ski at all, but it is pretty nice to have if you tour in the backcountry.

I-Beam Core: The wood core of this ski is milled out to allow room for two carbon I-beams. The I-beams add torsional rigidity to the skis without adding weight. Stability of the skis is dramatically increased at higher speeds, compared to a standard wood core.

Swallow tail: The pseudo-swallow tail on this ski helps the tails sink while raising the tips up and out of the snow. It also helps the tails release from the turn in softer snow to give a more surf-type turn. The reinforcement between the wings of the swallow tail give strength that a true swallow tail lacks.
