Do you mount ski bindings? Yes, when you purchase skis and bindings we will mount the bindings for you for free. If you also purchase boots, we also will test and adjust the bindings to your specifications.
Long Answer-->
When you order a ski with binding included or when you order a ski and binding separately, our system will know and AFTER you have completed checkout a huge button will lead you to our Ski Mount Form.
You will be able to choose which bindings are to be mounted on which skis, and if you also ordered boots you can specify what bindings to adjust to the size. If you are getting just skis and bindings you will be prompted for your boot or shoe size, if you have adjustable bindings this information is not necessary but you can still provide it. The bindings will still need to be adjusted to your boots by someone locally who can test the release of the bindings based upon the actual boots being used. This is a quick and usually inexpensive process, the difficult and expensive part is the mounting of the bindings. You will want us to mount the bindings especially if you are getting a wider powder ski as most shops will do a much poorer job of the mount.
If you also are buying a pair of boots, a longer form asking for the skier height, weight, ability etc. This information allows us to adjust the bindings for the skier so that you can take the gear from the box to the slopes. This FREE service saves both time and money and we strongly suggest you take a chance on the best boot fit we have for you. This does not apply to foreign orders which are difficult and expensive to return.. you should only buy what you are certain will fit.
Remember this form will be available AFTER checkout is complete. When you complete the form a copy will be emailed to you to verify that you entered the information correctly. Sometimes you may choose a ski, boot, binding package that is incompatible. If your package is incompatible we will notify you of suggested changes, if they are obvious and there is no color difference we will sometimes just make the change.
Do you mount snowboard bindings? Not at this time but...
Long Answer-->
Though simple in process, snowboard binding mounting is more variable than ski binding mounting due to the individual choices in stance. Snowboard bindings are also much easier to mount than ski bindings, usually requiring only a large Phillips screwdriver. Shipping is also much easier with the items separate. In spite of all these things and the Snowboard industries de facto standard of customers mounting their own bindings, we do not accept that long term answer. It's just not customer friendly enough.
Is our gear new? Yes, everything for sale at Levelninesports.com is never used gear. Some products may have been tried on and some may have a sample label (we always try to point these out), but everything is in perfect new condition with no blems or defect and we warranty every product we sell.
Is your gear warrantied? Yes, all our gear is covered under manufacturer's warranty. You can always warranty products purchased at Levelninesports.com directly through us.
Long Answer-->
Some items are exclusive to Levelninesports.com, the 2010 Cloudveil Fishing Gear for example, this product can only be warrantied directly through us. Most product can be warrantied directly through the manufacturers, but it is always easier to warranty with Levelnine and we are usually more lenient. You get a one freebie rule. That is you can warranty a purchase once. If you decide to destroy second set you are on your own. All warranties are for a year from date of purchase unless otherwise stated in the Extra Info tab, one year is always the minimum.
Do my new skis need to be waxed or sharpened? All new skis come with a thin factory wax and edges ready to go. Racers will want to bevel the edges to their own requirements and the very wet springtime slush sometimes requires a fresh layer of warm temperature wax. Other than that the ski edges and bases themselves are ready to go on all new skis.
