Hard shell cover: A durable outer layer of plastic makes this helmet a little heavier than soft shell helmets, but it will last a lot longer and resist dings and dents. Slide Vent Adjust: A tab at the top of the helmet can be slid forward or back to open and close vents to aid in temperature regulation. This is a quick and easy way to keep the helmet comfortable and wearable all day and in any weather condition. Safety Standards: CE EN 1077: This is a European standard that has performed testing on these helmets to ensure they function as designed, and that they exceed the minimum standards for snow sports. In other words, they dropped heavy objects on the helmets, and they didn't break. ASTM 2040: The US equivalent of the European testing standard, so you know it has solid backing. Mesh Covered Vents: The vents permanently stay open, but have a mesh layer to keep snow out while still providing breathability. Padded Chin Strap: Thin padding under the chin prevents chafing and allows for proper fit of the helmet. Flexible goggle strap: A rubberized material used for the goggle strap at the rear of the helmet can stretch over goggle clips, and will prevent the goggles from slipping off the back of the helmet. Removable Visor: Mostly for style points, but when its overplayed in a couple more years, you can decide to take off the visor. |
