$9 Special: It may be $9 or $19 or $199, in any case these items are the last one or two in our inventory and we just want them out as they are taking up space. These products won't last long so be sure to be quick on the trigger. As these items will sell out quickly, they are available for internet purchase only (we won't be able to show them to you at our retail store.) We've been told by a handful of customers that these Giro Sestriere helmets fit snugger than expected. If you measure your head and you're on the borderline, we recommend sizing up. In-Mold Technology: A lightweight shell surrounds the injected foam, and makes the helmet much lighter than hard shell counterparts. Hard ear flaps: Hard ear flaps protect the ears and side of head better than soft ear flap helmets. The comfort level isn't quite the same as a soft flap, and its slightly more difficult to hear, but if you hit a tree or a racing gate with your ear, you'll be grateful that this has hard ear flaps. Safety Standards: CE EN 1077: This is a European standard that has performed testing on these helmets to ensure they function as designed, and that they exceed the minimum standards for snow sports. In other words, they dropped heavy objects on the helmets, and they didn't break. ASTM 2040: The US equivalent of the European testing standard, so you know it has solid backing. Padded Chin Strap: Thin padding under the chin prevents chafing and allows for proper fit of the helmet. Flexible goggle strap: A rubberized material used for the goggle strap at the rear of the helmet can stretch over goggle clips, and will prevent the goggles from slipping off the back of the helmet. |
