Goode's SuperMax poles are a classic, very durable, light and strong for their low price tag. These poles feature a composite shaft, which will be much more flexible than aluminum, which helps in shock absorption as well as helps keep the poles from breaking or becoming bent--the fiberglass composite material will pop back into shape even if it takes a sharp hit.

Composite Shaft: The shaft of this pole is made up of a fiberglass composite, which gives the pole incredible strength and flexibility. This does not have any carbon in it, so it is a little heavier than a carbon composite pole, but very cost effective.

Ice Breaker Tip: A sharp, yet durable tip doesn't slip on firm snow to get solid plants for turning and pushing along the flats. Keep in mind that they are sharp, so use caution during pole jousting matches.

Rubberized grip: A tacky material aids in grip between the gloves and handle (grip) of the poles, so you don't loose, uh grip.

Adjustable Nylon Strap: A nylon strap with easy adjustment ensures the poles don't get away from you after jumping off that big cliff on the backside of the mountain. Or with some imagination, they can help you carry a pair of skis.

12.7mm Diameter Shaft: 12.7mm is the standard diameter of a set of ski poles, and since the shaft of these poles is totally straight, the poles can be cut-down to size if you get the poles and they are just too long or you want to give them to a skier who is shorter than you.

Interchangeable Baskets: These poles do not come with wider baskets, but they any Goode pole basket from the last few years will fit on these tips, so if you have powder baskets on an older set of Goodes, you can re-use them with these poles!
