Safety Certification - CE EN 1077 This is a very high quality fleece jacket with a Back protector built in. It is very well designed for protection and comfort. A full jacket of this quality would probably retail for the about same price without the protection unit.
The Jacket itself is fullzip with right breast pocket and two side pockets. It is an excellent product that can be used as an outer layer on standard days or an inner layer on more frigid days. Though the pieces can be separated for washing, if you remove the spinal protector you cannot use the jacket independently (unless you don't mind the hole where the protector was.) These units are designed for those who care about safety while going about their activities, they are obviously designed with big mountain skier and trickster snowboarders, but they are comfortable enough to be used by anyone who feels the need for back protection no matter what the activity (mountain biking, shoveling a roof or an icy driveway, skateboarding, and very dangerous pillow fighting come to mind.) While no safety device can completely insure protection from dangerous activity, wearing activity specific safety equipment greatly reduces your chance of serious injury Choose the size closest to the height/torso recommendations to your own. If you have a close choice between two sizes it doesn't matter which size you go with, but going with the bigger size will insure complete protection. This is a very well designed product and does not feel uncomfortable or bulky. This fits a range of folks from 2 inches shorter to 2 inches taller than the ideal height listed above. |
