Wide Back Design: When the cuff buckle is released, the boot opens backward more than standard front entry boots. Its not quite like the rear entry boots of the 90's, but definitely easier to get into than most modern boots.

Flex Walking Sole: The forefoot of this boot can flex, right under the ball of the foot, to give greater comfort when walking in the boots. When the boot is stepped into a binding, the flex in the toe is eliminated.

W106 last: The forefoot width of this last is 106mm, which is an incredibly roomy and comfortable fit. A good choice for beginners and casual skiers, this one is extremely comfortable.

Vibram Pads: This boot features Vibram rubber soles or grip pads in the heel and toe for added security while traversing the formidable parking lot.

SuperHeat 3 liner: High performance liner that molds to your foot, activated by body heat. The SuperHeat 3 has the adaptive lining in the ankle, heel, tongue, and insole and will speed up the break in process of your boots.

Fleece Lining: This boot sports a fleece lining to add extra warmth to the foot. It also adds a great deal of comfort as the lining breaks in and forms around the foot.

Double Memory Buckle: One buckle does the work of two, via a cable system that goes over the top of the foot. The buckle does not get reset every time you release it, so it 'remembers' your last setting. Once you get the right fit dialed in, there's no need to remember where it was set, just close the buckle, and you're ready to roll.

Double Power Buckles: Some of the buckles on this boot (usually the top 2) have a metal flip-out that can be extended to give the skier more leverage when clamping it down.

Micro-adjustable aluminum buckles: These aluminum buckles can be moved to adjust for size, so if the default position of the buckle and the teeth is too wide or too narrow, you can move it until it fits.

35mm strap: Wider than average strap at the top of the boot to help keep the boot together and to give good performance while skiing.

Macro adjust ladder (SuperMacro): The tooth plate opposite the top buckles can be moved in or out for a huge range of adjustment, and to fit narrow to wide lower legs.

SoftWalk heel: The heel lug of this boot has a strategic injection of rubber that makes walking around more natural and less like Dr. Frankenstein's monster, while not affecting the boots performance on the slopes.

Double Velcro Powerstrap: This a powerstrap on steroids. Using a simple pulley, the double power strap can tightened significantly more than a regular shin strap, which effectively acts as an extra buckle, keeping your upper shin and calf locked right where they're supposed to be.

Auto-Walk heel: A button in the back of this boot is engaged automatically by the heel piece of the ski binding, stiffening the boot and putting it in a 'ski stance.' When the boot is taken out of the binding, the button automatically pops back out relaxing the fit for easier walking.

Adjustable rear spoiler: With a quick adjustment, the height at the top rear of the boot can be raised or lowered. If you are taller than average for your boot size, or if you just want the extra support at the back of the leg, you can adjust the spoiler up about 1cm from standard. This will also pitch you forward slightly into a more aggressive stance.

Head I-Type Ski Boots: Head calls this new line of boots the All Day Ski Boot, covering everything from getting geared up in the morning to apres-ski, and of course a full day of skiing in between. Without sacrificing on snow performance, Head gave the i-Type several features to make walking in ski boots safer and more comfortable, with the Vibram rubber pads and the Flex Walking Sole. For the actual skiing part, the i-Type Boots have a generous fit for width, and the liners have nice thick padding for max comfort.
