Head Joe 105 Black-Blue Skis

Sale: $0.00
Retail: $1070.00

The Joe 105 is Head's homage to the casual (or lazy) powder and off piste skier. This ski is lighter and flexier than his brothers and hence is easier to ski and floats on top of any soft snow you might encounter. Since it is a bit lighter and softer, this also makes it a candidate for terrain park skiing, though it would be a pretty fat park ski.

Ideal Target Skier: Powder Hound: If you use your sick days only when it snows 12'' or more overnight and not when you're actually sick, this ski is probably for you. Powder Hounds are on the search for deep and untouched powder, and fat skis to ski it with.

Skier Ability: Advanced to Expert: Skipping the blue runs to get to the black runs, but sometimes a little cautious when it gets very steep, or some hesitation when your buddy says, ''You just have to clear those rocks or else you're toast.''

Expert Binding Choices: Some of the binding options (i.e. the Look/Coreupt PX 15) available for this ski have high din ranges that start at 8 or 9. A very small percentage of skiers will be suitable for these bindings. If you know that you usually set your din at 8 or above, you are in the clear for a high din binding. Otherwise, those bindings are for EXPERT SKIERS ONLY!

Speed: Fast: At this speed, these skiers are passing most of the others on blue square runs, and keeping up with most skiers on black diamond runs.

Carbon Jacket: A superb combination of durability and performance in a ski topsheet available. A carbon jacket will still allow top speeds but also not weigh your ski down.

Wood Core: The standard core which has throughout time provided the best performance and durability. Each model may have it's own density level to help define flex and maximum speed but every wood core ski will be solid.

Highly Transparent UHM Base:A high-density, determinedly durable base that allows gorgeous graphic details to shine through. The perfect combination of fashion and function.
