Package Information: We provide complete binding adjustment to all packages purchased at no extra cost to you. After you complete checkout and payment a mounting form will popup for you to enter the skier information to go along with this purchase. If you don't know all the information required, Please fill out the form to the best of your ability. If you do not see what you need in a package you can still choose your items a la carte (don't fret you are still saving money just by shopping with us). We can still mount the bindings, and if you are getting a boot from us we will set the din release values so your skis boots and bindings will be ready to ski upon arrival. Skier Ability: Advanced to Expert: Skipping the blue runs to get to the black runs, but sometimes a little cautious when it gets very steep, or some hesitation when your buddy says, ''You just have to clear those rocks or else you're toast.'' Ideal Target Skier: Weekend Warrior/Charger: These skiers were once upon a time ski bums, or very proficient skiers in college, then landed an internship that led to a 70 hour work week and a spouse and 2.5 kids. They are still great skiers, and ski hard every chance they get on steeps, moguls, powder... whatever they can get their hands on. Sandwich Construction (SW): SW means that the sides of the skis are a vertical wall rather the rounded Cap construction found on most skis. Since none of the skis material needs to be exerting force maintaining shape at the edges, SW skis are stiffer than their Cap counterparts. Most people find SW skis to be damper, that is more glued to the snow, superior at high speed GS turns and top notch at busting through crud or choppy snow.
Wood Core: The standard core which has throughout time provided the best performance and durability. Each model may have it's own density level to help define flex and maximum speed but every wood core ski will be solid.
Flow Ride Technology: A small section of the core at the tip of the ski is milled out, and reinforced with an elastomer material. This softens the tip for easier turning at slower speeds and in powder snow, but is still stable at higher speeds because the effective edge length has not changed.
Intelligence Technology: Allows for a transfer of energy throughout the ski to provide stabilization at higher speeds. When the ski begins to shake in front of the binding electricity is transmitted forward through the ski to stiffen it up, thus anticipating the vibration (chatter) and reducing it.
UHM C Base: The most durable, quickest base material on the market. It requires very little maintenance and allows your skis to do what they are made to do until you decide you've hit so many rocks that it needs a tune. |
