Head 2012 J.O. Pro Ski Twin Tip Skis

Sale: $349.00
Retail: $649.00

The J.O. Pro pipe-park-steeze machine is back to being a wood core, legit ski, while still being super light and forgiving in the pipe/park. The Sandwich (SW) construction and UHM race-style base will keep this ski fast and stable for carving groomers and ice, while the lightness and suuuuuper flexy tips and tails will give you some leeway to screw up your landing a little bit without taking a digger to the face. This is the Pro model, meaning its got the J.O. approved topsheet. Too bad its a car this time and not a Norwegian super model, but what can you do, the man has hobbies (outside of skiing and women).

Free L9 Poles: A little love from L9 to you in the form of a free composite Levelninesports.com ski pole. A comparable pole retails for $60 and we sell these for $24 normally. This free pole is for a few select skis as a little sweetener on the already lowest price.

Ideal Target Skier: All Mountain Park Rider: Skiers that go anywhere on the mountain, and still make trips through the terrain park enough to require twin tips, describe these skiers. They are not afraid to skip park sessions to ski deep powder, but are torn sometimes for their love of hitting rails and jumps in the park.

Speed: Fast: At this speed, these skiers are passing most of the others on blue square runs, and keeping up with most skiers on black diamond runs.

Sandwich ConstructionSandwich Construction (SW): SW means that the sides of the skis are a vertical wall rather the rounded Cap construction found on most skis. Since none of the skis material needs to be exerting force maintaining shape at the edges, SW skis are stiffer than their Cap counterparts. Most people find SW skis to be damper, that is more glued to the snow, superior at high speed GS turns and top notch at busting through crud or choppy snow.

Highly Transparent UHM Base: A nifty looking and lightning quick base.

Tip Rocker: This refers to the early rising of the tip to get the ski on top of the soft snow, rather than pushing through it. When the skis are held with the bases together, it will look like the tips are bent, and spread away from eachother. Tip rocker also helps skiers pivot the skis, making tight trees remarkably easy, and gives the ski a surf-like feel.

Flow Rise Technology: Flow Rise is the name for Head's tip rocker technology. Unlike the Flow RIDE tech, which simply softens the tips for easier turn initiation, the Flow RISE skis actually have rockered tips, which helps turn initiation and gives more float than a non-rockered ski.

Extra Durable ABS Sidewalls: This sidewall material transfers energy to the edge extremely well, which results with better edge grip and control. It also helps the ski have a lively feel.
