Head 2012 Kiss of Death 110 Twin Tip Powder Skis

Are you an expert, hardcore skier? Do you ski somewhere where it snows a lot, and has big mountains and aggressive terrain? Do you go pretty much full speed all the time? If you've answered yes to these questions, then Head's 2012 Kiss of Death is worth a try. These are 110mm wide, true twin tip, rockered in the tip, and have some beefy sidewall construction so these are going to be awesome on powder days, in the backcountry, sidecountry, and big mountain open terrain. If you do happen to find yourself on groomers (which for most is an inevitability, in truth), the skis are still freaking sick, but you're not buying this ski for its performance on the groomed stuff.

Discounted Ski Bindings: Lowest price and now discounteds bindings for these skis. Click the dropdown above but we have some awesome older binding models for 2012 skis only for a limited time. We aren't kidding.. check the first few binding options and don't dawdle supplies are limited.

Free L9 Poles: A little love from L9 to you in the form of a free composite Levelninesports.com ski pole. A comparable pole retails for $60 and we sell these for $24 normally. This free pole is for a few select skis as a little sweetener on the already lowest price.

Ideal Target Skier: Powder Hound: If you use your sick days only when it snows 12'' or more overnight and not when you're actually sick, this ski is probably for you. Powder Hounds are on the search for deep and untouched powder, and fat skis to ski it with.

Skier Ability: Advanced to Expert: Skipping the blue runs to get to the black runs, but sometimes a little cautious when it gets very steep, or some hesitation when your buddy says, ''You just have to clear those rocks or else you're toast.''

Speed: Very Fast: Skiing at this speed means keeping up with the best skiers on the mountain, while still maintaining control.

Sandwich ConstructionSandwich Construction (SW): SW means that the sides of the skis are a vertical wall rather the rounded Cap construction found on most skis. Since none of the skis material needs to be exerting force maintaining shape at the edges, SW skis are stiffer than their Cap counterparts. Most people find SW skis to be damper, that is more glued to the snow, superior at high speed GS turns and top notch at busting through crud or choppy snow.

Wood Core: The standard core which has throughout time provided the best performance and durability. Each model may have it's own density level to help define flex and maximum speed but every wood core ski will be solid.

Highly Transparent UHM Base: A nifty looking and lightning quick base.

Tip Rocker: This refers to the early rising of the tip to get the ski on top of the soft snow, rather than pushing through it. When the skis are held with the bases together, it will look like the tips are bent, and spread away from eachother. Tip rocker also helps skiers pivot the skis, making tight trees remarkably easy, and gives the ski a surf-like feel.

Flow Rise Technology: Flow Rise is the name for Head's tip rocker technology. Unlike the Flow RIDE tech, which simply softens the tips for easier turn initiation, the Flow RISE skis actually have rockered tips, which helps turn initiation and gives more float than a non-rockered ski.

ABS Sidewall: ABS provides better edge hold than other materials and construction types. It will also withstand impacts with rocks and terrain features (rails, boxes, your friend) more effectively when compared to cap style construction.
