If learning to turn and improve your carves and not racing is your goal, then one of the Shape skis (formerly known as Big Easy) skis may be for you. They come with an oversized tip and tail, paired with a narrow waist, to give it a short turn radius. This makes it easy to learn on and helps lower ability skiers get the sensation of carving a ski much earlier than other skis with less sidecut.
