Target Skier: Lower intermediate to advanced skiers that like a more forgiving boot.
Features: Color: White with maroon (bordeaux!) highlights Flex Rating: 70 Ultralight shell with soft PU overlaps: A lightweight shell to reduce fatigue and keep you out on the mountain longer. Soft overlaps under the buckles make it easy to get in and out of the boot. Womens Performance last: This last is anatomically designed to fit a woman's fit better than any last Head has ever made. In fact, Head does not publish the forefoot width (its about 102mm) because for this boot it is not relevant information, the fit is so unique. A wider fitting unisex boot (say, 103 or 104mm) may actually be more restricting due to the various pressure points of an awkward fit. This boot should be as comfortable as something wider, while fitting snugger and giving you a higher level of performance. Women's HeatFit with luxe pile liner: This faux fur liner is pretty stylish, but more importantly, its incredibly warm and comfortable. The heat molding inserts adapt quickly to the shape of your feet and lower leg, and the faux fur traps a lot of air to keep your feet warm. A side benefit of the faux fur is that its very easy to slide your foot into and out of the boot. Micro-adjustable aluminum buckles: These aluminum buckles can be moved to adjust for size, so if the default position of the buckle and the teeth is too wide or too narrow, you can move it until it fits. SoftWalk heel: The heel lug of this boot has a strategic injection of rubber that makes walking around more natural and less like Dr. Frankenstein's monster, while not affecting the boots performance on the slopes. Adjustable wedge arch: The footboard (the part that is below the liner) has a wedge to give extra arch support if needed. Simply remove the retaining screw, pull out the footboard, flip over the wedge arch, and reinstall. That just saved you a trip to the bootfitter for a set of custom insoles! Double Adjustable Profile: A customizing feature on the back of the cuff that can take up or give an extra centimeter of circumference. It can add or remove pressure to the top of the boot to give a higher level of comfort, or a better performance fit. Double Canting: Two adjustment bolts, one each side of the ankle, allow for maximum adjustment for leg/knee alignment problems. The canting helps the skis stay flat on the ground while you are still bow-legged or knock-kneed. The Dream Thang boot has a last of 102mm. However, as this is one of they very few boots designed for women from the ground up and not an altered men's boot, it is usually found to be much more comfortable than a boot of that width. |
