60 Flex Index: Great for beginners and intermediate skiers that need a forgiving boot to give comfort throughout the day. 104mm last: Comfort is key for skiers matching up to this last width. It is roomy and comfortable, making it the preferred choice for recreational skiers that demand comfort above all else. This is the boot type that most recreational skiers prefer. Makrolon Buckles: Makrolon buckles are made from the same type of plastic laminate used in bullet proof glass. These babies are highly shatter resistant and scratch resistant, while being very lightweight. 35mm strap: Wider than average strap at the top of the boot to help keep the boot together and to give good performance while skiing. Adjustable wedge arch: The footboard (the part that is below the liner) has a wedge to give extra arch support if needed. Simply remove the retaining screw, pull out the footboard, flip over the wedge arch, and reinstall. That just saved you a trip to the bootfitter for a set of custom insoles! Double Adjustable Profile: A customizing feature on the back of the cuff that can take up or give an extra centimeter of circumference. It can add or remove pressure to the top of the boot to give a higher level of comfort, or a better performance fit. Double Canting: Two adjustment bolts, one each side of the ankle, allow for maximum adjustment for leg/knee alignment problems. The canting helps the skis stay flat on the ground while you are still bow-legged or knock-kneed. SoftWalk heel: The heel lug of this boot has a strategic injection of rubber that makes walking around more natural and less like Dr. Frankenstein's monster, while not affecting the boots performance on the slopes. Head's Edge series boots could be the most popular recreational boot ever made. They are certainly the most universally popular boots we sell. Edge boots are marked by a traditional 4 buckle system and a generous 104mm wide inner boot. This width accommodates all but the widest feet (you guys should head over to our I-Type boots or Roxa Cruise.) They provide a good balance of performance and comfort with a definite lean toward comfort. As the model number increases, the number of features and stiffness of the boot also increases. All skill levels (except perhaps extreme skiers and racers) will find an edge boot that fits their level, if this boot isn't it, just check out another. |
