70 Flex Index: This boot has a flex rating of 70, which is best suited for beginner and intermediate skiers. Softer boots will be more comfortable, but won't offer enough stability at higher speeds. Stiffer than 70 will give that stability, but start to get a little less comfortable. 104mm last: Comfort is key for skiers matching up to this last width. It is roomy and comfortable, making it the preferred choice for recreational skiers that demand comfort above all else. This is the boot type that most recreational skiers prefer. HeatFit liner with anatomical footbed: This liner will adapt to the shape of your feet and lower leg, just by wearing them. The self molding inserts will make the boot more comfortable the more you wear them. The anatomical footbed has additional support in the heel and arch, and has a solid, yet comfortable feel while skiing.
Soft Walk Heel: A rubber insert in the heel cushions while walking to get better grip and a more comfortable stride.
Macro adjust ladder (SuperMacro): The tooth plate opposite the top buckles can be moved in or out for a huge range of adjustment, and to fit narrow to wide lower legs. 25mm strap: Velcro strap at the top of the boot that acts as an extra buckle, but without the hassle of a buckle. The strap holds the top of the boot together to provide a more even pressure across the front of the boot when flexing it. Double Canting: Two adjustment bolts, one each side of the ankle, allow for maximum adjustment for leg/knee alignment problems. The canting helps the skis stay flat on the ground while you are still bow-legged or knock-kneed. Replaceable Toe and Heel Pads: This is a must-have for skiers that don't live in ski in/ski out condos. When your ski tech tells you that you have to buy new boots because the soles are worn down too much, just laugh at him and tell him to order you a new set of sole plates. Head's Edge series boots could be the most popular recreational boot ever made. They are certainly the most universally popular boots we sell. Edge boots are marked by a traditional 4 buckle system and a generous 104mm wide inner boot. This width accommodates all but the widest feet (you guys should head over to our I-Type boots or Roxa Cruise.) They provide a good balance of performance and comfort with a definite lean toward comfort. As the model number increases, the number of features and stiffness of the boot also increases. All skill levels (except perhaps extreme skiers and racers) will find an edge boot that fits their level, if this boot isn't it, just check out another. |
