We love Aircoat Technology skis, they perform well under high speeds and are ridiculously light. Lindsey Vonn doesn't like light skis because she needs to be glued to the snow at 70MPH. But you aren't Lindsey (unless you are Lindsey in which case... Hi Lindsey!), so you do want light skis. Usually that means a noodle that can't handle any speed. Not the case with the Head Every One, this ski is pretty stiff and is meant to be taken down some gnarly trails at high speeds. This ski is going to be a bit too much for ladies who are just getting started, but is perfect for those who have been out rippin' it for some time now.

East Coast All Mountain: A newly defined category for skis that could be generally described as eastern all mountain skis or western groomed run skis. This ski should be mostly carving on groomed runs but can handle the occasional powder and crud.

Skier Ability: Advanced to Expert: Skipping the blue runs to get to the black runs, but sometimes a little cautious when it gets very steep, or some hesitation when your buddy says, ''You just have to clear those rocks or else you're toast.''

Speed: Fast: At this speed, these skiers are passing most of the others on blue square runs, and keeping up with most skiers on black diamond runs.

You can only use Railflex bindings with this ski. If you already own a pair you can slide them on the plate, otherwise you should choose one from the dropdown list above.

Intelligence Technology: Allows for a transfer of energy throughout the ski to provide stabilization at higher speeds. When the ski begins to shake in front of the binding electricity is transmitted forward through the ski to stiffen it up, thus anticipating the vibration (chatter) and reducing it.

UHM C Base: The most durable, quickest base material on the market. It requires very little maintenance and allows your skis to do what they are made to do until you decide you've hit so many rocks that it needs a tune.

Liquidmetal: is another physics experiment by Head, and this one is more complicated. The idea behind all of this is that the solid molecules can be compressed when force is applied to them, whereas liquid molecules do not get compressed but instead simply reposition themselves. This means two things important to a ski: There is no loss of energy resulting in maximum energy rebound. Whatever you put into a turn, you get out of a turn on the other side. The second thing is that since these liquid molecules aren't being constantly compressed (remember they just reposition themselves), there is no breakdown over time, meaning the Liquidmetal will provide maximum rebound for the life of the ski.

Aircoat Technology:
"While everybody is trying to make the core of their skis lighter, we decided to put air in the surrounding fiberglass. AIRCOAT means our fibers are hollow, not only making our 08.09 freeride and multi condition skis super light, but extremely agile and strong at the same time. This technology, also used in the aerospace industry, is the main reason, why AIRCOAT equipped skis will most probably be the lightest skis on the market next year.

40% LIGHTER - Regular glass fibers are solid, whereas AIRCOAT fibers are hollow. This reduces the overall weight of the fiberglass in a ski up to 40%. And since there is a lot of glass in a ski, this makes a big difference.

SAME STRENGTH - The hollow fiber has both a higher compression strength and a higher specific strength than any solid fiber. This makes hollow fibers at least as strong as conventional, full fibers.

MORE AGILITY - The combination of lighter weight and increased strength in Hollow Glass fibers results in more resilience and agility of the ski. Hollow glass fibers are more responsive and faster in both absorbing and transmitting energy to and from the edge of your skis." - HEAD
