Head Monster Medium Backpack

Sale: $34.00
Retail: $70.00

Save 51%
The Monster Backpack is a good size for light duty touring and hiking. The comfort features help reduce fatigue for the long treks, but the bag isn't too bulky to weigh the rider down. Several adjusting straps cinch this bag down to the appropriate size for the task, and every pocket has a purpose. This bag is a great choice for the backcountry rider, or avid skier needing a place to stash a lot of gear to avoid a trip back to the car at midday.

Volume: 28 Liters
Maximum Load: 30 kg
Dimensions (LxWxH): 35x45x17.5 cm

Padded shoulder straps: Non-bulky padding on the shoulder straps helps a heavy load feel more comfortable on the shoulders.

Padded back: Padding, about 1cm thick, with mesh lining gives users extra comfort, protection and wicks away some of the sweat that comes along with hiking up a mountain with 30lbs of gear on your back.

Padded waist belt with pocket: Padding on the waist gives extra comfort for long hauls, and the waist pocket is a convenient place for keys or a small digital camera.

Hydration pocket: A separate pocket inside the main compartment for a hydration bladder (not included), and a small slit for the hose routing outside of the pack. The shoulder strap also has a plastic clip to hold the hose in place while skiing or hiking.

Side bungee: A lightweight bungee with quick adjustment holds lighter weight articles in place during activity, such as an extra fleece layer or lightweight jacket.

Chest compression strap: This strap, when correctly positioned, sits just above the sternum, and helps the shoulder straps and bag stay in place during activity. The elastic strip won't restrict movement and breathing.

External elastic pocket: A pocket on the back of the bag has elastic straps and is a quick and convenient place to put an extra jacket or baselayer for easy access.

Ski/board carrying straps: There are two sets of straps on this bag. One set for carrying a snowboard flat on the back, sitting vertically. The other set is for a pair of skis to run diagonally across the back.

Compression straps: The compression straps on both sides of this bag take up extra room so the gear in the bag doesn't slide around. They also make the bag smaller if a lighter load is being carried for the day.

First aid pouch: A small external pocket, measuring about 6x9 inches, has a quick release tab to get quick access to whatever is put in there. As the name suggests, probably best to put first aid supplies in this pocket.

Water resistant shell: A small pocket at the base of the bag reveals a detachable water resistant shell that stretches over the entire pack as an extra layer of protection from the elements.

Shovel compartment: Take the handle out of the shovel and insert into the internal pocket of this bag. The shovel blade is simply put in the main compartment.
