Ideal Target Skier: All Mountain Park Rider: Skiers that go anywhere on the mountain, and still make trips through the terrain park enough to require twin tips, describe these skiers. They are not afraid to skip park sessions to ski deep powder, but are torn sometimes for their love of hitting rails and jumps in the park.

Skier Ability: Advanced to Expert: Skipping the blue runs to get to the black runs, but sometimes a little cautious when it gets very steep, or some hesitation when your buddy says, ''You just have to clear those rocks or else you're toast.''

Speed: Fast: At this speed, these skiers are passing most of the others on blue square runs, and keeping up with most skiers on black diamond runs.

Heavy-Duty Construction: Head's moniker for skis it has given some extra love to because you probably won't. Whether it's because you are hucking cliffs, spinning park 360s or cracking the occasional tree stump on early season powder days, these skis can take as much abuse as a ski can. Based upon the model it may be reinforced sidewalls, thicker cap wrap or denser material at end of binding mounting areas to absorb landing impact. Of course no technology will save your sticks if you are landing on a rock of a 20' cliff. Come to think of it, if you are even reading about this feature, go pick out a helmet.

Wood Core: The standard core which has throughout time provided the best performance and durability. Each model may have it's own density level to help define flex and maximum speed but every wood core ski will be solid.

UHM Base: A maintenance free durable base. You may want to wax it up for springtime slush, other than that you can concentrate on other things.

Twin tip skis: are where its at these days. Their versatility allows you to ski powder in the morning, bumps at midday, and session the park in the afternoon. These are the skis that have brought skiing back to life and kept the younger generation interested in this great sport. The turned up tail is designed for skiing backwards (switch), but for most people, it just looks cool. You can also spray your friends with the rooster tail of snow behind you.
