Head Sweet Fat Thang Twin Tip Skis

Sale: $189.00
Retail: $800.00

This may be the ideal true all mountain ski for those who ski well but aren't quite hitting 40 foot cliffs. It is wide enough for most any powder condition and nimble enough with a decent sidecut to still ski the rest of the mountain quite well. There is the matter of the butterflies... yes they are butterflies and if you don't want to save all those Benjamins you can find a pair elsewhere without butterflies. Don't worry though, its a Mojo 90 underneath the pretty topsheet.

Ideal Target Skier: West Coast All Mountain Skier: Skiers on the west coast will enjoy this ski as an all mountain, do everything model, while skiers on the east coast will find this more suitable for powder skiing, or when there is chopped up crud to be had.

Skier Ability: Upper Intermediate to Advanced: Skiing most black diamond runs, but cautiously or at moderate speeds.

Speed: Fast: At this speed, these skiers are passing most of the others on blue square runs, and keeping up with most skiers on black diamond runs.

Wood Core: The standard core which has throughout time provided the best performance and durability. Each model may have it's own density level to help define flex and maximum speed but every wood core ski will be solid.

Cap Construction: The topsheet of this ski drapes over the edge to form a clean and rounded finish to the side of the ski. This style of construction adds some torsional rigidity, and helps reduce topsheet chipping when the skis hit each other.

Twin tip skis: are where its at these days. Their versatility allows you to ski powder in the morning, bumps at midday, and session the park in the afternoon. These are the skis that have brought skiing back to life and kept the younger generation interested in this great sport. The turned up tail is designed for skiing backwards (switch), but for most people, it just looks cool. You can also spray your friends with the rooster tail of snow behind you.
