The popular Xenon skis from Head mix the ease of turning on groomed slopes, with the versatility to take them off trail and explore the trees and other areas of the mountain that many skiers don't know exist. The Head Xenon 1.0 is the base model of this lineup, but is a step up from a typical beginner ski, so intermediates can have a blast on this ski. One thing that most skiers immediately notice is the ability to turn the ski with little effort, which is owed to the lightweight core material and good sidecut. This is a great ski for anyone at the beginner stage to intermediate stage, and is comfortable with a range of speeds.

Ideal Target Skier: Casual Cruiser: Sticking mainly to the groomed runs and always keeping speed in check, a Casual Cruiser doesn't even bother with the off trail snow, moguls, jumps, etc.

Skier Ability: Beginner to Intermediate: Versatile enough to handle first time skiers all the way up to seasoned intermediates.

Speed: Moderate: The speed most intermediate skiers travel at, Moderate means they like to ski faster than beginners, but are never the fastest skiers on a run.

Synthetic Core: A lightweight flexible ski core designed to help skiers master turning and stay out of harms way by making the ski nimble. Synthetic cores are great for those learning to master the art of skiing because they turn easily, but top speed skiers may prefer stiffer skis.

Fiber Jacket: A solid topsheet that provides a good blend of stability and performance without extra weight.

Cap Construction: The topsheet of this ski drapes over the edge to form a clean and rounded finish to the side of the ski. This style of construction adds some torsional rigidity, and helps reduce topsheet chipping when the skis hit each other.

Textured Surface: Ideal for repelling wear and tear on the skis surface. Textured ski surfaces are rough surfaces to the ski that hide or repel scratches keep your skis look new long after they are not. Originally designed for rental skis for obvious reasons, this surface is now available on a wide variety of retail skis as well since everyone likes their skis to look nice.
