Ideal Target Skier: West Coast All Mountain Skier: Skiers on the west coast will enjoy this ski as an all mountain, do everything model, while skiers on the east coast will find this more suitable for powder skiing, or when there is chopped up crud to be had. Skier Ability: Upper Intermediate to Advanced: Skiing most black diamond runs, but cautiously or at moderate speeds. Speed: Fast: At this speed, these skiers are passing most of the others on blue square runs, and keeping up with most skiers on black diamond runs. Features: Handmade in Colorado Poplar wood core Durasurf 4001 Sintered base (very fast and more difficult to scratch) Thick steel edges Reinforced at binding mount area Full twin tip Original artwork graphics by Travis Parr The Pilgrim graphics depict the ever fearless and zealous Joan of Arc in a pensive and readied position. I figure she is contemplating the cliff she is about to drop somewhere in the French Alps.Originally designed for terrain park skiing, the Pilgrim is hardly park specific. It is extremely easy to maneuver in the park and this also translates to all mountain performance. The tail has a softer flex than the rest of the ski to soften hard landings and to get the tips to 'surf' or float better in soft snow. This is on of the narrower of the Icelantic lineup, but at 90mm at the waist, you won't regret going this narrow on the epic powder days. Icelantic's Pilgrim is a fun ski for upper intermediate to advanced skiers who want a playful and adventurous ride. This ski is good in powder, good in the park, and surprisingly can carve your pants off on the hardpack. |
