Molded ankle strap: The strap is preformed to fit the contours of the boot where the leg meets the foot at a 90 degree angle. This strap does two things: Increases comfort by eliminating the two contact points that a flat strap would have, and increases performance by having a solid connection with the binding.
Aluminum ratchets: A more durable option to plastic or steel ratchets, they are just as light as plastic, but a lot more durable. The teeth that grab the ladder strap also won't wear down as fast, so the ratchet is less likely to slip after frequent usage.
Moulded Toe Strap: The toe strap has a special foam that is a little more dense than the cheap-o stuff, and has a minimalist shape to not get caught on things which would tear it.
Toe plate adjustment: Toe overhang can be minimized and the binding customized to the boot size by sliding the toe plate forward or back in relation to the binding. This needs to be done when the binding is not attached to the board. This adjustment also helps by getting the ball of the foot to rest in the correct spot, which helps in edge control while turning.
Anatomical Baseplate: All this means is there is a designated left and right binding that match the shape of each boot better.
Asymmetrical highback: The highbacks have a different shape on each binding to allow better support and movement for each foot (there is a right and a left).
High Grade plastic baseplate: This strong baseplate won't crack or break even under pressure from hard falls or huge jumps.
4 Hole Disc: This binding has the standard 4 hole pattern to fit any snowboard, except Burton.
Tool-less Forward Lean: The highback position can be adjusted without tools. Forward for more aggressive riding and quicker response time, back for more flexibility and comfort for park and all around riding.
High Grade Plastic Highback: A nice high back built to give you comfort and response, and built to take some punishment and keep ticking.
Adjustable Heelcup: The heelcup can be moved to fit smaller or larger boots, which helps position the ball of the foot in the right spot for better edging and control.
Padded Baseplate: Some padding on the baseplate to get extra cushion between the boot and the binding that absorbs shock from big jumps or vibrations from choppy terrain.
Included Parts: Included with this binding is a set of screws to attach the board (don't worry, its easy- all boards are predrilled), a small stomp-pad, and a safety leash.
