ASTM F-2040-00 Meets the international standard for protective headgear in snow sports. Hard shell cover: A durable outer layer of plastic makes this helmet a little heavier than soft shell helmets, but it will last a lot longer and resist dings and dents. CE EN 1077: This is a European standard that has performed testing on these helmets to ensure they function as designed, and that they exceed the minimum standards for snow sports. In other words, they dropped heavy objects on the helmets, and they didn't break. Passive Vents: Permanently open vents allow for continual air circulation to prevent overheating. Don't worry, snow won't get in because of the lining on the inside of the helmet keeps the elements out. Removable Padding: This helmet has removable padding to customize the fit and to allow the use of a beanie for extra warmth during very cold weather. Removable/Washable Lining: The lining of this helmet can be removed if wearing a beanie and also to get it washed. Removable Visor: Mostly for style points, but when its overplayed in a couple more years, you can decide to take off the visor. |
