Lucky Bums Adjustable Ski Snowboard Helmet

Sale: $34.00

The Lucky Bums helmets are a really cool mix of simplicity meeting technology. The design is pretty straight forward, and looks like just about any ski or snowboard helmet out there. But, then comes the best part; A dial at the back of the helmet can be turned to get the exact fit needed for the best comfort and safety possible. This feature either doesn't exist among other brands, or is only reserved for the most expensive ones. Save your money for the lift tickets, guys, geez.

ABS Plastic Shell: ABS, short for Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene, is a lightweight, injection molded plastic that is highly durable and impact resistant.

EPS Hard Foam: Expanded Polystyreme (EPS) is a hard foam interior designed for high impact collisions. Slightly heavier than other types of foam, but this is as safe as your noggin is going to be (even if you wear a motorcycle helmet--but that will be a LOT heavier ;) )

Dial In Fit System: A dial at the lower back of the helmet can be turned tighter or looser to get a custom fit. This also improves the safety of the helmet, as a better fit means the helmet is less likely to slide around during a crash.

Soft ear flaps: These ear flaps are soft, and not removable from the helmet. The soft design helps in comfort, and is a little easier to hear when compared to hard ear flap helmets.

Mesh Covered Vents: The vents permanently stay open, but have a mesh layer to keep snow out while still providing breathability.

CE EN 1077: This is a European standard that has performed testing on these helmets to ensure they function as designed, and that they exceed the minimum standards for snow sports. In other words, they dropped heavy objects on the helmets, and they didn't break.

Padded Chin Strap: Thin padding under the chin prevents chafing and allows for proper fit of the helmet.

Flexible goggle strap: A rubberized material used for the goggle strap at the rear of the helmet can stretch over goggle clips, and will prevent the goggles from slipping off the back of the helmet.
