Ninthward First Blood Twin Tip All Mountain Skis

Sale: $239.00
Retail: $599.00

Save 60%
The Ninthward First Blood has a respectable waist width for powder skiing (91mm), but is lively enough for everyday conditions out west. The stiffer than average flex helps maintain edge control when the powder runs out and hardpack is all that's left. Add a twin tip at the tail, and here's a ski that can do it all, including sessions in the park. Skis are getting wider these days, but even still, east coasters will find better use for this ski when snow is softer and for powder days.

Ideal Target Skier: West Coast All Mountain Skier: Skiers on the west coast will enjoy this ski as an all mountain, do everything model, while skiers on the east coast will find this more suitable for powder skiing, or when there is chopped up crud to be had.

Skier Ability: Intermediate to Advanced: Sometimes these skiers are intermediate, and on a good day, they are advanced, but hard to commit to one level. They can ski most places on the mountain, sometimes with a little difficulty, but always making it down without crying and calling ski patrol.

Speed: Fast: At this speed, these skiers are passing most of the others on blue square runs, and keeping up with most skiers on black diamond runs.

Wood Core: The standard core which has throughout time provided the best performance and durability. Each model may have it's own density level to help define flex and maximum speed but every wood core ski will be solid.

PA 12 Topsheet: This topsheet is durable and sports silk-screened graphics. The colors won't bleed over time, so the graphics will look fresh even years down the road.

45-90 Degree Sidewall: The sidewall is custom routed to a 45 and 90 degree angle to provide strength for impacts, solid edging power, and helps reduce chipping at the topsheet.

5.5mm ABS Sidewall: Thick sidewall material providing strength and improved dampening while keeping the ski lighter.

45 HRC Steel Edges: These edges are hard without being brittle to give increased strength to the edge when landing on rails and rocks.

Twin tip skis: are where its at these days. Their versatility allows you to ski powder in the morning, bumps at midday, and session the park in the afternoon. These are the skis that have brought skiing back to life and kept the younger generation interested in this great sport. The turned up tail is designed for skiing backwards (switch), but for most people, it just looks cool. You can also spray your friends with the rooster tail of snow behind you.

4400/3400 Extruded Base: This durable material requires little maintenance and holds wax for a long period of time, so you don't have to wax the board every day.

These are versatile skis that can be used for a variety of terrain. If you are buying a binding from us and we are mounting them, you have the option to choose for which riding style you would like us to mount them.
The default is Freeride mount which is recommended for using these sticks for All Mountain skiing. Park mount is for terrain park skiing and will be forward of the all mountain mount. You can also choose for us to not mount the bindings.
