Skier Ability: Intermediate to Advanced: Sometimes these skiers are intermediate, and on a good day, they are advanced, but hard to commit to one level. They can ski most places on the mountain, sometimes with a little difficulty, but always making it down without crying and calling ski patrol.

Speed: Fast: At this speed, these skiers are passing most of the others on blue square runs, and keeping up with most skiers on black diamond runs.

Sandwich ConstructionSandwich Construction (SW): SW means that the sides of the skis are a vertical wall rather the rounded Cap construction found on most skis. Since none of the skis material needs to be exerting force maintaining shape at the edges, SW skis are stiffer than their Cap counterparts. Most people find SW skis to be damper, that is more glued to the snow, superior at high speed GS turns and top notch at busting through crud or choppy snow.

Wood Core: The standard core which has throughout time provided the best performance and durability. Each model may have it's own density level to help define flex and maximum speed but every wood core ski will be solid.

Die Cut Graphic: The base has a die cut graphic, which is made up of at least two different colors of base material, cut to different shapes to create a design or graphic. This base is popular because the graphics don't fade over time and just looks cool, even though there is no performance benefit to a die cut base.

Klothoid Sidecut: This is a fancy term for a multi radius sidecut. What this means is there are different radii built into the sidecut of the ski that target different parts of the turn. A short radius near the tips helps with turn initiation, long radius underfoot for stability at speed in the middle of the turn, and a medium radius near the tail helps exit the turn and get into the next turn. What that means is turns are more fluid and easier.

Smart FLF Rocker: Smart FLF rocker with moving contact points. When the skier weights the ski, the tip and tails rise up to give the same effect of mini-rocker, or early rise skis. But when unweighted and starting a turn, the full edge length helps grip on firmer snow, offering greater stability. Check out our video tab for more information.

Palmer Skis: Palmer is known worldwide for producing the finest and most expensive snowboards in the world. They are also well known in Europe for producing the same level of skis. While not a well known ski company in the USA (even though the company started in the USA), the technical features and extensive R n' D has proven that the Palmer Skis really are some of the best in the world. Made in the Head factory in Austria, Palmer Skis are the real deal!
