Kid Binding Recommendation: Skiers that weigh under 50 pounds (23kg) and/or use ski boots under size 23.0 Mondo should be using a low DIN binding (range almost always is .75-4.5) that works with children's boots, found with any 4 level binding. Common examples are SL 45, LR 4.5, or the Look Team 4 Ideal Target Skier: All Mountain Park Rider: Skiers that go anywhere on the mountain, and still make trips through the terrain park enough to require twin tips, describe these skiers. They are not afraid to skip park sessions to ski deep powder, but are torn sometimes for their love of hitting rails and jumps in the park. Skier Ability: Intermediate to Advanced: Sometimes these skiers are intermediate, and on a good day, they are advanced, but hard to commit to one level. They can ski most places on the mountain, sometimes with a little difficulty, but always making it down without crying and calling ski patrol. Speed: Moderate: The speed most intermediate skiers travel at, Moderate means they like to ski faster than beginners, but are never the fastest skiers on a run. Features: Full twin tip design- to let the little rippers fit in with the terrain park kids Full cap construction- For increased durability and light weight All mountain or Jib mounting points- Mount to the jib line for terrain park skiing, all mountain for everything else The Abracadabra is the best twin tip ski we have seen for younger skiers. It has a full twin tip, when most skis in this category only offer a turned up tail. The waist width is also wider than a lot of skis that mom and dad are on right now. The width of the ski adds stability, and most notably, extra float in soft snow for the lighter weight skiers. The indirect benefit of the 76mm waist is that this is really the closest thing to a kids' powder ski that you can get. But don't worry, this ski performs very well on the groomed slopes because of the deep sidecut. Although it is best matched to intermediate skiers, beginners that love the colors would still be happy with this ski.
