The Salomon Fish is a park and pipe ski (twin tip enabled) best matched up to the intermediate and above crowd of younger skiers that are spending a fair amount of time in the terrain park. The tail of the ski is a real twin, not a cheesy little bend that other skis in this age group offer. It has solid cap construction to offer increased durability without adding weight, to keep the ski maneuverable for young skiers.
Appropriate ability levels.

Ideal Target Skier: Young Ripper: Anywhere from pre-teen to the full 18 years, these skiers are pushing the limits of skiing in speed, style, tricks, and steez, and are often better skiers than their parents.

Skier Ability: Beginner to Advanced Juniors: Versatile for basically all levels of junior skiers, from first timers on bunny slopes to seasoned advanced level skiers hanging out with mom and dad in the back bowls.

Speed: Moderate: The speed most intermediate skiers travel at, Moderate means they like to ski faster than beginners, but are never the fastest skiers on a run.

Composite Core: This ski features a composite core, which has a softer flex and is lighter weight than wood cores. Junior, entry level, and sometimes even women's models have this type of core to make skiing more enjoyable, and less work.

Textured Surface: Ideal for repelling wear and tear on the skis surface. Textured ski surfaces are rough surfaces to the ski that hide or repel scratches keep your skis look new long after they are not. Originally designed for rental skis for obvious reasons, this surface is now available on a wide variety of retail skis as well since everyone likes their skis to look nice.

Twin tip skis: are where its at these days. Their versatility allows you to ski powder in the morning, bumps at midday, and session the park in the afternoon. These are the skis that have brought skiing back to life and kept the younger generation interested in this great sport. The turned up tail is designed for skiing backwards (switch), but for most people, it just looks cool. You can also spray your friends with the rooster tail of snow behind you.

Cap construction: This type of construction helps fight against edge chipping, and provides a slightly more forgiving ride great for beginner to intermediate riders.

These are versatile skis that can be used for a variety of terrain. If you are buying a binding from us and we are mounting them, you have the option to choose for which riding style you would like us to mount them.
The default is Freeride mount which is recommended for using these sticks for All Mountain skiing. Park mount is for terrain park skiing and will be forward of the all mountain mount. You can also choose for us to not mount the bindings.
