10 Flex Rating: This is just too cute. They actually list the flex of this boot, which is 10. Obviously that is a very low rating, which means this is a very soft boot, very easy to put on and take off and not a punishing fit in the slightest. In other words, perfect for little beginner skiers. Salomon Wide Junior Last: These boots use Salomon's JR WIDE last, and while we don't know exactly how wide they are in mm (not printed anywhere in the catalog), we would estimate they are about 104mm wide, which is plenty generous for pretty much any kid anywhere. Tongue Pull: A loop of fabric at the top of the tongue helps in putting on and removing the boots. Pull it forward and to the side and your foot should slide right in.
Replaceable Toe and Heel Pads: This is a must-have for skiers that don't live in ski in/ski out condos. When your ski tech tells you that you have to buy new boots because the soles are worn down too much, just laugh at him and tell him to order you a new set of sole plates. Easy-Close Single Buckle: This buckle was made to be strapped by little kids. Its a huge, blue, fisher-price style soft plastic buckle that tightens a ratchet around the back of the heel of the boot. The cable attached to the ratchet/buckle assembly is also a very soft and malleable plastic, combined with the leverage of the huge buckle, this is a VERY easy boot to put on and take off. Mom and Dad probably don't even need to help! |
