5,000 Waterproof rating: Most jackets and pants have a rating of about 5000, and it is sufficient waterproofing for recreational skiers that need to stay dry, but don't go out very often (or at all) when the conditions are extreme. Velcro and elastic wrist: The combination of velcro and elastic wristband ensures that snow stays out and warmth stays in. Front pockets: Pockets at the front of the jacket sit toward the waist to hold just about anything, and keeps your hands warm between runs Storm flap: Extra material covering the zipper is secured in place with velcro, and helps keep the wind and water from entering through the zipper. Pit Zips: Zippers under the armpit to get some airflow going when you've overdressed, or got overworked from flailing in the powder. |
